Job Description
AECOM/Hunt is seeking experienced Superintendents for our ongoing project at JFK airport in Queens, NYC.
- Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
- Responsible for the organization and direction of construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility, which may be a single area, multi-area or a multi-discipline construction project.
- May be the primary client contact for all jobsite day to day activities, or may coordinate with clients resident representatives on jobsite activities within assigned area of operations.
- Responsibilities are to ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
- Interfaces with all other administrative field staff, field management staff and particularly the Project Manager in a coordinated effort.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirement:
- BA/BS + 6 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience as a Construction Superintendent on large, mega construction projects.
- Experience in managing, scheduling, overseeing work of subcontracted labor.
- Understanding of advanced construction concepts and nomenclature.
- BS Civil Engineering or related curriculum.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to act independently and manage teams.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels of management, clients, partners, municipal entities, etc.
- Port Authority experience.
- In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite for which you are being hired to perform services, you will be required to pass the client's security screening process to include SWAC (Secure Worker Access Consortium) and/or SIDA (Identification Display Area) and fingerprinting, which will be done after you have commenced employment and is a condition of your continued employment.

- This position is located in Jamaica, Queens, NYC and is not hybrid nor remote.
- Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,945.50 - $186,749.18.
