We are seeking a reliable and experienced Therapist/Assistant to join our Rehab Team as an Area Clinical Coordinator/ Physical Therapist!
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of Physical Therapist experience and be willing to travel to multiple facilites in the Green Bay/ Kimberly/ Fond du Lac, WI area.
An Area Clinical Coordinator is a skilled, registered and licensed professional who oversees a specific geographic region including Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists and administrative support staff. The Area Clinical Coordinator also provides direct clinical services as directed by the Regional Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations.
MAIN FUNCTION Area Clinical Coordinators work with an interdisciplinary team at multiple sites and are responsible for the financial and clinical oversight of scheduling, evaluating, treating, coordinating and supervising therapists, assistants and techs, documenting services provided, participating in staff meetings and meeting the customer's routine needs.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES In addition to the duties described in the discipline specific staff therapist job description, the following job requirements are included.
- Area Clinical Coordinators provide ongoing case management to include assigning patient caseload, assuring staff clinical efficiency expectations, and equally distributing active caseloads.
- Area Clinical Coordinators supervise, orient, train, evaluate and counsel staff to improve job performance, maintain the highest standard of care, as well as job satisfaction.
- Area Clinical Coordinators assist in hiring and termination of staff under their supervision.
- Area Clinical Coordinators monitor all activities of assigned staff including service provision, documentation, billing and entering payroll appropriately and timely in accordance with company policy.
- Area Clinical Coordinators monitor payroll entries to ensure that staff is working the appropriate number of hours as required by the employee's status.
- Area Clinical Coordinators complete quarterly CQI on all documentation to ensure skilled therapy services are provided and appropriate.
- Area Clinical Coordinators participate in utilization review, patient care conferences, marketing meetings, rehabilitation conferences and area supervisor meetings.
- Area Clinical Coordinators establish and revise appropriate departmental policies and procedures and assure staff compliance.
- Area Clinical Coordinators assist in the development and maintenance of an administrative record keeping system that provides accurate treatment with resultant billing and case management to determine anticipated cost effectiveness, clinical efficiency, appropriate staffing patterns and appropriate clinical equipment.
- Area Clinical Coordinators communicate and coordinate facility department functions with other services in a constructive manner that helps build team rapport and effectiveness.
- Area Clinical Coordinators communicate effectively with physicians regarding patient problems, progress and department programs.
- Area Clinical Coordinators communicate effectively to the public and to medical personnel outside the facility regarding the therapy services offered.
- Area Clinical Coordinators assist the Regional Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations in identifying and marketing potential customers and new customer proposal designs.
- Area Clinical Coordinators participate in inservice training programs of the facility and for the rehab team.
- Area Clinical Coordinators assist in the development of department revenue and control expenditure of funds to meet budgetary requirements.
- Area Clinical Coordinators set goals and objectives for designated area facilities and implement activities to achieve them.
- Area Clinical Coordinators develop and implement Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy and Assistants affiliations/clerkships at local schools in coordination with facility administrator, as per request of the Regional Director of Operations and Vice President of Operations.
- Area Clinical Coordinators comply with all discipline-specific state practice acts, as well as state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Area Clinical Coordinators provide ongoing promotion and review of quality assurance in patient care.
- Area Clinical Coordinators perform and review screens, evaluations and ongoing treatment as directed to ensure appropriate skilled therapy services are provided.
- Area Clinical Coordinators assure that the department complies with corporate and facility policies and procedures.
- Area Clinical Coordinators perform other duties as requested to promote the viability of The Weston Healthcare Group, Inc. or our host facilities, their staff, residents and residents' families.
SUPERVISION
Area Clinical Coordinators provide clinical and administrative supervision to Physical Therapists and Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Assistants, Speech-language Pathologists, Administrative Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians as requested.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Safe moving, lifting or transferring of patients is required.
2. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
3. Must demonstrate appropriate and applicable fine motor skills.
4. Must demonstrate adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Area Clinical Coordinators must be a graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist curriculum.
LICENSURE OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS
Area Clinical Coordinators must be a licensed Physical Therapist in Wisconsin and provide an acceptable Criminal Background Check.
