Could This Be For You?:Our patients are our focus and are the heart of everything we do. As a Hanger Prosthetist and/or Orthotist, you will leverage exceptional training and an extensive collaborative clinical community nearly 1500 providers strong to provide or supervise the delivery of comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care. You will assess patients, formulate treatment plans, implement those plans, follow-up with your patients and participate in practice management. If you have not yet achieved certification, you will provide care under the direction of one of our certified clinicians.
As an Area Clinic Manager, the Prosthetist/Orthotist is also responsible for supervision of multiple therapy clinics. You will ensure compliance to all policies and procedures, be responsible for clinic financials; including profit and loss performance, and be responsible for sales/marketing to existing and potential clinic referrers.
Your Impact:Depending on the operational requirements, size of the Hanger Clinic and subject to limitations imposed by state and/or local law, your role may include some or all of the functions listed below.
- Create an environment which is consistent with the company’s values and objectives.
- Responsible for establishing and achieving financial, customer service and employee relations goals for the local market.
- In collaboration with Market Leader, Practice Managers and clinicians, establish an aggressive business plan to develop the market practice.
- Responsible for implementing the local market business plan to achieve Marketing and operating goals.
- Responsible for supporting the Clinical Services strategic mission.
- Provide clinical leadership and serve as a mentor and a coach to clinical staff. Increase practitioner retention through relationship building.
- Assess, monitor and develop clinician skill levels to ensure clinicians meet quality standards.
- Assist Vice President, Clinical Services in providing clinical training to achieve positive patient outcomes, employee satisfaction, customer service and clinical excellence.
- Responsible for both teaching and auditing all aspects of clinical documentation within area.
- Ensure clinicians are in compliance with regulatory requirements of all certification boards, governmental agencies, other certifying agencies and company policies, procedures and programs.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the varied customer communities. Develop service strategies that capture the unique nuances of specific marketplaces.
- Present clinical information in an effective manner to referral sources.
Requirements:
- Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC), or
- A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and current ABC Board-Eligibility in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
- In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure may be required as well.
- Five years’ experience in Orthotics and/or Prosthetics providing direct patient care, preferred.
- Minimum five years in a position of general management and/or marketing in a multi-site environment; orthotic / prosthetic background preferred.
Physical Abilities
- Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.
- Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day.
- Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.
- Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
- Ability to push wheeled equipment throughout the facility.
- Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment and supplies for treatment.
- Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws.

(California Only) Pay range of $120,000- $135,000 per year + bonus + benefits. This pay range is posted to comply with California Law. Hanger salary ranges vary based on skill, ability, knowledge, geographic location and other variables.
