Responsibilities:In this role, the professional should have a demonstrated history of managing and coordinating mission-critical projects. Experience in the higher education, advanced manufacturing or healthcare design will also be considered. Candidates will need a minimum of 10-years’ experience in the AEC industry and at least 3 years of experience in large scale, multi-disciplinary, design. Both Engineering and Architectural PMs are welcomed to apply.
- Project and engineering management of team in the execution of multi-discipline projects.
- Utilize modern techniques to actively manage multi-disciplinary team of electrical, I&C, process, mechanical, and Electrical engineers, CSA (civil, structural, architectural) construction supervisors, and vendors.
- Provide Instrumentation and Controls Engineering services to design and specify I&C systems for complex Process and Mechanical systems required for high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor fabrication, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, water and waste-water processing facilities. This includes preparing wiring and raceway routing plans, instrument data sheets, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (PID), loop wiring diagrams, PLC/DCS wiring diagrams, instrument installation plans and details, logic diagrams, sequences of operation, input/output databases, and other documentation.
- Develop electrical designs from concept through construction including preparing one-line/three-line diagrams, circuit schedules and directories, equipment and raceway routing plans, lighting designs, process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagrams (PID), loop wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, sequences of operation, input/output databases, construction specifications and other documentation.
- Develop, administer, and execute I&C and Electrical BIM execution plans (BEP) for each project.
- Model I&C and Electrical systems in REVIT 3D modeling software to an AIA detail level of at least LOD 350.
- Apply engineering principles and practices to diverse design and design/build projects.
- Interface with customers to manage client relations.
- Perform team building exercises for multi-discipline project initiation.
- Travel, both domestic and international, will be required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited college preferred. For architectural candidates, a degree in Architecture or related field from an accredited university.
- PMI PMP® Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical/I&C design and project management in the semiconductor, healthcare, higher education and/or datacenter sector.
- Experience developing electrical construction documents in compliance with NFPA 70 and UL508A.
- Experience developing P&IDs, loop wiring diagrams, wiring schematics, PLC/DCS control panel layouts, instrument plan diagrams, and conduit routing plans in compliance with ISA standards and practices.
- Experience designing and implementing industrial communication networks including Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, Devicenet, wireless telemetry, fiber networks.
- Expert experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, P&ID, EZ-Power or SKM circuit analysis, and BIM software.
