The Role:
Eagle Rock Properties is thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for creative professionals passionate about design. This architectural/interior designer role offers an engaging platform to apply your innovative thinking and unique design skills across disciplines. You will work on diverse projects, translating concepts into visually captivating designs that resonate with target audiences and meet our objectives of transforming existing interior and exterior spaces at our residential properties both spatially (architectural layouts/space design) and materially (interior design, furniture, fixture, and finish selection). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in design, an eye for aesthetics, and an innovative approach to their work.
Role Details:
This is a full-time salaried position based primarily in our Plainview, NY office. The role will require 4 days per week in the Plainview Office and 1 Day per week in the NYC office. Travel to project locations may occasionally be required.
Responsibilities:
· Design creative concepts for interior and exterior spaces of our properties starting from an existing raw space through spatial redesign (if necessary) to final finish, furniture and fixture selection.
· Projects such as:
- Clubhouses / Community Rooms
- Leasing Offices
- Fitness Centers
- Hallways
- Fixtures, finishes, and paint color selection for unit interiors including bathrooms and kitchens
- Exterior Façade Paint Colors
- Exterior Amenity / Grill Areas
- Courtyards and Open Spaces
· Ensure all designs meet quality and brand standards.
· Lead design review discussions and incorporate feedback into design drafts.
· Be willing to value engineer project scopes and finish selection to meet budget.
· Facilitate in reaching consensus regarding design choices across multiple parties.
· Work within project timelines.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Design, Architecture, Interior Design or related field.
· Proven experience in both interior and exterior design.
· Proficient in design software such as Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
· Proficient in rendering techniques to present design concepts visually.
· Strong portfolio demonstrating aesthetic flair and design skills.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Base Salary:
The base compensation for this role is $65,000 to 75,000, commensurate with experience.
Other Considerations:
This is an in-house designer role. No direct supervision under a lawfully practicing architect.
