A trusted multi-office, mid-sized architecture firm with an expertise in providing quality multi-family residential architecture in an environment of collaboration and growth.
About the Role:
The Architectural Designer supports project teams by applying a broad range of developing professional skills. This role involves performing foundational design and technical tasks, using standard techniques and knowledge under direct supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and refine conceptual and technical design ideas.
• Identify and propose effective technical solutions to design challenges.
• Contribute to the creation of 3D models using various 3D modeling software.
• Produce accurate project documents in alignment with firm and industry standards.
• Conduct design layouts, including research, data compilation, and documentation for assigned projects.
• Communicate assignment progress to the Project Team, Project Manager(s), and supervisors according to the established project schedule and work plan.
• Ensure that project information is accurately integrated into project documents.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Required Skills:
• On the path to Architectural Registration and licensure.
• Knowledge of architectural software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling preferred.
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred.
• Basic knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines
• Basic knowledge of building codes
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and professionally verbally and in writing.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills imperative.
• Adaptable and flexible.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and/or with a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Required Education & Experience:
• Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
• A basic understanding of technical knowledge in architectural drafting and design.
• 0-3 years of experience.
• Experience with multifamily housing is a plus.
