Job Opportunity: Architectural Designer - Residential Designer
Our client is looking for an experienced Architectural Designer to join our team, focusing on residential projects. This full-time position is based in the vibrant East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles and offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $95,000 per year, along with excellent benefits and a 401(k) plan.
Role Overview: As an Architectural Designer, you will be engaged in both routine and complex residential assignments, contributing to all phases of the design process, from conceptual design to construction administration. You will work closely with a Project Manager and have opportunities to manage projects and handle some project management tasks independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present design concepts including architectural treatments, detailing, lighting, materials, and furnishings.
- Produce CAD or Revit architectural working drawings with minimal oversight.
- Coordinate with trades/consultants and manage construction in the field.
- Review shop drawings and submittals, and assist in preparation of presentation materials.
- Lead field surveys and document as-built conditions.
- Oversee the coordination of a complete construction document set before final review.
- Engage with clients across all project phases and mentor staff for professional growth.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5-8 years of design experience in the residential architectural/interiors field.
- Proficiency in Revit, CAD, Sketchup, 3D modeling (Rhino, VRay), and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Comprehensive understanding of local codes including ADA, IBC, Title 24, and CBC.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and follow through on deliverables.
