Architectural Designer/Architect at Johnson Design

INTRO:

Johnson Design Inc. (JDI) is an Architectural Firm in the heart of Oconomowoc, WI that has had a strong reputation and relationship with its community and surrounding areas for over 33 years.

Specializing in residential homes, our projects include residential remodeling, additions, and new high-class homes. Working on both architecture and interiors, we have also completed numerous mixed-use and commercial projects. Our commercial projects include offices, retail, commercial interiors, restaurant and hospitality, hotels, apartments, and townhomes and condominiums.

We currently have a staff of four talented architects and designers and are looking to add another to our growing team! We are looking for a well-organized, responsive, and creative individual with a go getter mentality. This candidate would assist with as-builts, programming, schematic design, design development, and all the way through construction documents.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Develop concept floor plan layouts and exterior elevations

• Transform plans and elevations into construction documents

• Travel to jobsites, and work with clients to turn their dream home into a reality

• Understand roof, truss, and floor loads

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical specs and blueprints

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

• Must be detail-orientated, organized, and creative

• Good oral and written communication skills and professional mannerism when engaging with clients

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years experience in residential design

• MUST know Revit and AutoCad

• Experience and proof in 3D Rendering
