4 Corner Resources is seeking a Architectural Design Manager that can leads a team of six architecture professionals to ensure that retail partners' store environments meet and exceed high standards of design and functionality. This hybrid position is based in Long Island City, NY, and requires up to 30% travel throughout the United States.
The Architectural Design Manager works closely with clients, internal and external stakeholders, and the Director of Architectural Design and Visual Merchandising to deliver exceptional design solutions and ensure the successful execution of all architectural projects. This role combines leadership, collaboration, and technical expertise to elevate the retail experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners to define design priorities, set milestones, and oversee project realization.
- Ensure the successful completion of architectural projects while maintaining alignment with established brand standards and vision.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and guidance to the Architectural Design Specialists, enabling them to deliver high-quality work.
- Manage projects effectively by coordinating with key stakeholders, ensuring all resources are utilized efficiently and timelines are met.
- Lead the team with innovative and forward-thinking approaches, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Maintain excellent communication and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve design objectives.
- Advocate for best-in-class design standards in luxury retail environments, leveraging a deep understanding of architectural principles.
REQUIREMENTS
- Master's Degree in Architecture.
- 10+ years of relevant experience designing high-end luxury spaces.
- Expertise in designing luxury retail environments with a focus on excellence and innovation.
- Strong technical skills related to architecture and design.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation abilities.
- Proven experience in team management and mentorship.
- Expertise in project management and architectural theory.
- Business acumen and thought leadership to inspire stakeholders and drive success.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, write, and perform data entry on a desktop computer.
- Occasionally sitting, bending, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and frequent reading.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying noise levels, including construction sites.
- Occasional use of tools such as hammers, drills, and screwdrivers may be required.
- Availability to travel up to 30% of the time.
