Overview
Architectural Designer Needed
for Medical Construction Company
The Architectural Designer plays a vital role within our project team, collaborating closely with Sales, Project Management, Product Development & Procurement, as well as clients and their representatives. Effective communication skills—both verbal and written, as well as graphical—are essential. The Designer will be responsible for guiding construction projects from the sales phase through to completion, working in a dynamic environment to create support documentation such as sketches and exhibits for sales, product development, and project milestones. Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail are crucial. Our company offers team members the opportunity to work on exciting, unique, and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and their representatives to develop coordinated design solutions from the sales phase through construction
- Prepare sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, working drawings, and detailed designs, while interacting with a variety of existing project documentation
- Ensure technical accuracy in detailed drawings and effectively convey design intent throughout the documentation process
- Work within a team, under direct supervision, to learn and understand the collaboration involved in Design Documentation within our company
- Coordinate Field Documentation when required.
- Ensure designs comply with all applicable codes and standards
- Manage a wide variety of projects to completion
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues related to timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Coordinate with architects, inspectors, project managers, and client/owner representatives to address project issues and develop solutions.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for our company, building strong relationships with key contacts to better support strategic customers and foster team growth.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in commercial, industrial, design/build engineering, or architecture
- Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit software
- Strong ability to visualize concepts and develop solutions in three dimensions
- Well-rounded knowledge of construction disciplines
- Solid understanding of construction management processes, means and methods, building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Familiarity with modeling techniques and structural engineering terminology; mechanical and electrical aptitude is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-oriented; excellent time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Strong understanding of construction management processes, means and methods, building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
