About the Job
An Architect Level I/Level II to be responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the clients needs.

Required:
- 3 to 5 years of architectural experience minimum. Licensed architect, or on track for licensure. Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program.
- Located in southeastern region of the United States or the US Virgin Islands. Residency in or near one of the company office locations is required, as this is an in-office or hybrid position.
- Experience on FEMA-funded projects is a plus.
- Experience in other federal government design project types and/or processes is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate project design, develop creative-design concepts for projects, and prepare presentation and design drawings.
- Ability to work as a team member to achieve high output levels.
- Self-directed; high energy level; high degree of personal initiative.
- Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of complex projects.
- Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs.
- Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
- Level II candidates are expected to be able to affectively complete and assess their own work in a self-directed manner; understand and implement technical direction provided by Project Manager; be able to identify technical questions; and resolve technical questions in a self-directed manner in order to maintain productivity.
- May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects/architectural staff depending on experience level.
- Performs analyses of design, planning and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.
- Writes assessment reports. Reviews completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations from consultants.
- Generally executes all aspects of drawing production under the direction and supervision of the Project Manager on the project.
- Generally able to execute effective design and production processes as directed by Project Manager.
