We’re hiring a skilled and passionate Architect II to join a growing architecture team in Minneapolis!
Position Overview:
As an Architect II, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of commercial architectural projects. This position involves performing complex design and technical tasks, coordinating with project teams, and contributing to all phases of design, from conceptual development through construction administration. You’ll bring a strong understanding of design principles, technical proficiency, and the ability to lead aspects of project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop design concepts, including space planning, material selection, and detailing.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of detailed architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements and design intent are achieved.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and design narratives for client and stakeholder review.
- Perform construction administration duties, including site visits, reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Manage portions of projects with minimal supervision, ensuring schedules and budgets are maintained.
- Mentor and guide junior staff, providing feedback and fostering professional development.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- 5-10+ years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
- Licensure (preferred) or actively pursuing architectural licensure.
- Proficiency in design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and construction methods.
- Knowledge of applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and ADA standards.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
