As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will resolve accounts receivable for an assigned territory, ensuring positive customer relations and meeting company performance standards. Under the guidance of the Regional Controller, you’ll manage customer disputes, drive satisfaction, and contribute to multiple accounting, audit, and financial functions.
You Will:
Conduct analytical reviews of your assigned collections territory to prioritize research efforts and determine the best approach for each account, whether through calls, letters, or other methods.
Work with Field Sales, Agents, Logistics, and Management to address account risks, credit issues, disputes, and customer feedback, escalating concerns.
Handle daily invoicing for shipped orders, manage customer payments, and perform bank reconciliations within Epicor.
Initiate contact with customers to address and resolve payment and deduction issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of customer discounts, allowances, and rebates, ensuring all data is up to date.
Resolve accounts receivable disputes within 15 days, unless dealing with large, multifaceted cases that should be resolved within 45 days.
Follow established business rules and create credit memos to settle customer financial disputes.
Keep comprehensive collection notes in Epicor and maintain organized records in MS Excel for all customers.
Support Sales and Operations Managers in collecting COD payments and small dollar accounts.
Assist Logistics and Distribution teams with relevant tasks related to outside distribution operations.
Respond to customer requests by faxing or emailing invoices and bills of lading.
Identify accounts needing escalation for collection agency placement or third-party activity and assist in preparation.
You Have:
An Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (or equivalent work experience).
2+ years of experience in dispute resolution.
Strong ability to manage high call volumes and adapt to shifting priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Epicor, Glovia, or other major ERP software.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
