AR Collections Specialist - PEG Staffing & Recruiting

PEG's Manufacturing client in Creve Coeur is seeking a direct hire AR Specialist to join their team! In this role, you'll be responsible for managing collections and claims for customers, supporting major accounts, and working with cross-functional teams to make sure the processes run smoothly. This is a high-impact role where your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring our financial operations are efficient and customer-friendly.

What You'll Do:

• Proactively follow up with customers to maintain timely payments and strengthen relationships.
• Deliver weekly and monthly updates on payment statuses, keeping our team informed and on track.
• Apply credits, process refunds, and keep accounts current, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Research and resolve claims quickly, using your keen judgment to determine the best path forward.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics to manage data accurately, keeping all financial records organized.
• Communicate effectively across departments, collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, and Distribution to address customer needs.
• Uphold our high standards for compliance and approval guidelines, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
• Engage in special projects and additional tasks, providing essential support to the Accounts Receivable team.

What You Bring:

• Associate degree preferred, but we're looking for someone eager to learn and grow with us.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe.
• Background in Office Administration or AR/Collections is a plus, but a proactive attitude and willingness to tackle challenges matter most.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to multi-task effectively, working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
