Madison (locals only/no per diem)
Pay: $18-24 based upon experience
Job Description:
We are currently seeking motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as an Apprentice Electricians with experience bending a running EMT conduit. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical work, a solid understanding of conduit systems, and a passion for learning and advancing their skills in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities:
Conduit Installation: Proficiently install, bend, and thread conduits of various types and sizes according to electrical specifications and project requirements.
Blueprint Reading: Interpret electrical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout and installation of conduit systems.
Wiring and Termination: Assist in the wiring and termination of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards.
Material Handling: Responsible for the proper handling and storage of electrical materials, tools, and equipment.
Collaboration: Work closely with journeyman electricians and other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, proposing effective solutions with attention to quality and efficiency.
Continuous Learning: Actively seek opportunities for professional development and advancement within the electrical trade.
Qualifications:
Experience: Prior experience in conduit bending and installation is required. Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring, and terminations is a plus. Experience running/bending EMT conduit 1/2" to 1" is REQUIRED.
Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is desirable.
Skills:
- Proficient in conduit bending, threading, and installation 1/2" to 1"
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical codes and regulations.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and perform duties requiring physical strength and endurance.
- TOOLS: Must have hand tools and impact driver and proper PPE.
