COMPANY PROFILE:
AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the association has an average loan volume of approximately $2.85 billion, with total assets equaling $3.2 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate, and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. Without strong financial backing farmers and ranchers will not survive, and people will not have food to eat or clothes to wear. AgTexas provides reliable credit and crop insurance to our member-owners, so they can feed and clothe the world.
POSITION:
The Appraisal Administrator position is located in any AgTexas office with a salary that is negotiable, depending upon experience.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, agricultural economics, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience and at least two (2) years of experience in finance and/or banking in the area of collateral evaluation, real estate evaluation or general office/clerical experience. Ideal candidate will possess general knowledge of property and collateral evaluation methods. Additionally, general knowledge of real estate instruments and records. General knowledge of office equipment and systems used for the storage and retrieval of business information. Intermediate knowledge of standard records management and file classification practices. General knowledge of documentation requirements for collateral evaluation work files. Specialized knowledge of written correspondence principles. This position requires good skill in oral and written communication. Candidate must be intermediate in skill level with Microsoft Office applications.
JOB SCOPE AND PURPOSE:
Performs intermediate-level general support for Collateral Evaluation Division that may be somewhat complex in nature, works under moderate supervision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Will be trained to locate, identify, and map properties using Geographic Information Systems and various mapping applications, organize and plot real estate legal descriptions, generate report addenda and graphical displays in such programs as Microsoft Publisher.
- Utilize various forms of internet-based information sources, and various forms of information technology.
- Performs various administrative and servicing duties, data entry, word processing, and department operations monitoring and reporting.
- Monitors and maintains records in such programs as Microsoft Access and Outlook for schedules and projects; prepares, types, and processes forms such as those needed for office supplies, expense reports, time sheets, and other related forms.
- Answers incoming calls to department staff, representing department or association in a professional manner; relays messages; responds to routine requests for information and refers more complex requests to appropriate staff members.
- Uses computer systems to assist department or association in activities such as preparing reports and budgets. May store/manipulate data through various software programs, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Composes correspondence on well-defined matters. May be directed to respond to routine correspondence; sets up and types of reports following prescribed formats.
- Research real estate sales data, current improvement cost data, and other resource information required to make accurate evaluations. Communicates findings regarding land market trends to management.
- Gather, organize, and communicate with clients/association staff in multiple offices regarding data necessary for the essential functions of the department.
- Operates a variety of standard office equipment according to detailed instructions, which may include computers, telephones, photocopiers, and scanners.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Frequent interaction with association departmental staff and management. Frequent interaction with association customers. Frequent interaction with area professionals including real estate agents, commercial bankers, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff.
