The Role
The successful candidate will be a vital leader in assisting businesses to achieve success, with responsibility for researching and acquiring the software applications required to propel growth forward. They will configure, monitor, and maintain these tools as needed, ensuring that they are used across departments. Furthermore, they are responsible for managing financial budgets associated with both projects and day-to-day operations, all while supervising server/hardware upgrades and reporting success to top management and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Research, procure and manage software applications that will contribute to the success of the company
- Installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining those applications as and where necessary
- Establishing protocols for software applications and ensuring their ease of use for others
- Overseeing upgrades for servers, hardware, and software
- Reporting on progress of operational issues to senior management, end users and stakeholders
- Managing financial budgets for both specific projects and day-to-day running of specific departments
- Researching and procuring: Finding and acquiring software applications that will help the company succeed
- Training users: Providing training to users on how to use new software
- Quality assurance: Using quality assurance skills to help the business meet its quality standards and ensure customer satisfaction
- Communicating: Acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, and using strong communication and collaboration skills to translate technical concepts and foster teamwork
REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience managing software applications in a manufacturing environment
- Fluency in software and systems, and experience with software and systems such as CSS, HTML, EDI, C
- Software development: A sound understanding of software development life cycles, scripting, systems programming, Agile, and JavaScript
- Database management, SQL
- Project management: Experience in project management, system design, and database management
- Troubleshooting: Experience troubleshooting technical systems
- Business systems (ERP, Collaboration, Automation): Experience building and maintaining business systems, and assessing clients' business process requirements
- User experience: Experience with user experience concepts
- Training: Confidence in training employees and colleagues
- Communication: Good communication skills
- Documentation, Business Process/Analyst
