Application Engineer
Waseca, MN | Direct-Hire | $75,000 – $100,000 (Flexible) | Hybrid
Konik is partnering with a manufacturing client that is seeking an Application Engineer to contribute to the sales and servicing of custom industrial equipment. This individual will play a key role in ASME design documentation for project support and developing tools to enhance engineering capabilities.
Application Engineer Responsibilities:
- Engineer and design products to meet client specifications and align with company standards.
- Prepare and present detailed equipment proposals, securing customer approval.
- Use SolidWorks to create detailed engineering designs from drawings, sketches, or written instructions.
- Provide specifications to design drafters and oversee the accuracy of their output.
- Develop and maintain software tools, databases, and applications to streamline engineering tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
- Collaborate with clients, internal teams, shop personnel, and external vendors.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites for sales and technical support (<5%).
Application Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a focus on heat transfer or fluid dynamics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and heat transfer software.
- SolidWorks expertise, including design and analysis capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with technical drawings, safety guidelines, and procedure manuals.
- Skilled in using measuring tools for precise measurements.
