DUTIES
- Design circuit boards to demonstrate the use and capabilities of integrated circuit products; provide technical expertise through customer presentations, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products; support sales staff in assessing potential application of company integrated circuit products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions; build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client; provide software development and consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation; ensure the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications; provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customer personnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. The position also requires: the ability to use industry interface standards such as I2C, SPI, USB, UART, I2S or high-speed control/data bus examples to work with integrated circuits and understand the timing requirements, voltage level requirements, and effects of printed circuit board layouts; the ability to use scripting/programming language such as Verilog, C, Python, MATLAB, Embedded Firmware or similar to replicate real-world scenarios involving integrated circuits; document and communicate the behavior of devices, via failure analysis reports, datasheets, application notes, or similar, for communication with internal and external customers; the ability to perform Schematic Capture using common EDA tools and to draw schematics based on same; and the ability to create requirements for electrical system designs and support layout engineers during the layout process.
