About the Role
We are seeking a driven and analytically inclined Applications Engineer to join our growing team! This is an outstanding opportunity to leverage your technical skills in a highly innovative and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work on our Applications team responsible for developing fixes and customizations for users in our ERP system, coordinating the implementation of new applications, managing our existing applications, and providing general applications support.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for users’ application-related inquiries and issues.
- Ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of all applications.
- Manage the implementation, configuration, and upgrades of our ERP system, Infor XA.
- Develop and implement training programs for end-users to enhance their understanding and utilization of the applications.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify potential security issues and ensure optimal system performance.
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their application needs and provide streamlined, comprehensive solutions.
- Establish and maintain documentation for all application management activities and newly implemented functionality.
Additional Expectation
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in application maintenance, support, or development.
- Keen understanding of relational database concepts and experience with SQL/DB2.
- Prior experience with software QA, testing, and debugging in a professional setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of application management and development best practices.
- Prior experience using/managing ERP systems, ideally Infor XA.
- Prior experience scoping and planning technical projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals and synthesize information on critical business processes from multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with all levels of staff.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for iterative improvement of business processes as facilitated by application changes.
