Application Technical Lead

Duties:

Manage a team of software developers and work closely with other key team members (i.e. PM, QA, BA) to define business requirements, estimate and assign tasks, resolve defects, Responsible for technical design and architecture in their project team, and collectively across all teams. Ensure compliance with department and company policies and standards. Propose and evaluate designs for enterprise business applications considering performance, scalability, and maintainability. Work with Project Managers to define day-to-day task assignments to keep the team organized and focused on delivery targets. Work with business users to create technical solutions to support business processes, including suggesting business process improvements to take advantage of software application development. Define and enforce code standards. Proactively monitor error logs to find and correct production issues and take ownership of applications including upgrade plans to keep to current standards. Understand and apply object-oriented development techniques and software development patterns. Remote work is acceptable within a reasonable commuting distance of the Norwell, MA office.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering or closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Technical Lead, Software Developer or related role where required experience gained.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Also requires experience in the following:

• Microsoft .net technology stack, including VB.net, C#.net, ASP.net, ADO.Net, WCF, AJAX, WPF, Entity Framework etc.;
• SQL Server 2008, 2009, 2018, 2019, Debugging tools like SQL profiler, Fiddler, Postman;
• Web services, REST API development;
• JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Xaml, Asp.Net Razor;
• Software architecture principles and patterns such as SOA, OO, MVC, MVVM; and
• Agile development.
