Application Support Engineer - TBG | The Bachrach Group

A prestigious law firm seeks an Application Support Engineer to provide expert support for end users, ensuring efficient and effective use of software applications. This role involves troubleshooting issues, improving user training programs, and supporting application design and implementation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Support & Troubleshooting:

• Resolve application and software issues for internal users across departments.
• Document and track issue resolution processes.
• Perform hands-on fixes, including software installation, upgrades, and system configuration.

Process Improvement:

• Analyze user feedback to recommend and implement support process enhancements.
• Evaluate trends in issue resolution to prevent recurring problems.

Application Development & Testing:

• Research and test software applications under development or consideration.
• Assist in deploying updates, patches, and preventative maintenance.

Training & Documentation:

• Design and deliver training programs for in-house software.
• Maintain intranet resources, including FAQs, software updates, and knowledge bases.

Collaboration:

• Coordinate with department heads to assess application training needs.
• Communicate technical issues and resolutions to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Azure certifications preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
• Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques and programming languages like SQL.
• Experience with databases for query and issue tracking.
