Application Specialist - AKKODIS

Akkodis is seeking a Application Analyst for a 1 year contract job opportunity with a direct client located in the Wilmington DE area. The Application Analyst will be required to work onsite from the very start and must already be somewhat local to the Wilmington DE area. The Application Analyst will be responsible for the completeness of application information in ServiceNow.

Rate Range: $40-45/hr

Application Analyst - job responsibilities include:

• Audit, verify and enhance format, accuracy, and completeness of application information in ServiceNow.

• Ensure new applications comply with cybersecurity, legal, and privacy standards by coordinating with relevant teams.

• Generate Knowledgebase articles for IT and end-users, ensuring they are comprehensive and up-to-date.

• Collaborate with scientists and researchers to understand application requirements and facilitate swift testing and evaluation of new applications.

• Guide data management and structure alignment with other systems to ensure seamless integration.

• Oversee system upgrades and expansions, break/fix point of contact, and vendor engagement.

• Manage project tasks, risks, and timelines effectively.

• Support non-laboratory application and project management.

• Provide administrative support for applications, ensuring smooth operation and compliance with organizational standards.

• Utilize new technologies such as CoPilot and Enterprise chatGPT to evaluate, document, and monitor application landscape and processes.

Required skills and experience for the Application Analyst includes:

• 3-5 years of experience IT Application management.

• Hands on ServiceNow experience.

• Build out documentation and KB articles.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Interest or experience in research relevant applications such as data analysis and visualization of scientific data.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.

Desired Skills:

• Knowledge/awareness of data management and visualization, SQL, AWS cloud computing, and Linux systems.

• Familiarity with ITIL processes

• Understanding or familiarity with AI/ML tools
