Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary:
Manufacturing company that seeks an Engineer to become an integral member of our team. The candidate should be a problem-solving individual with a “can-do” attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit. They should also be a self-motivated team player with strong written and verbal interpersonal skills.

Essential Job Functions:

• Field emails and phone calls for inquires that regard new cable assembly design and engineering quotations

• Work with customers to achieve quotable new cable assembly designs

• Complete a Feasibility Commitment/Estimate (bill of materials and router) worksheet for first time design RFQ’s

• Work with the vendor base to receive quotes for components and secondary operations

• Create new drawings and manage existing drawings for all parts, components, fixtures and dies

• Work with manufacturing to assess new fixture and tooling needs that are required for new and existing projects

• Create new bill of material and routers into ERP system

• Manage and update existing bill of materials and routers into ERP system as required

• Responsible for the engineering section of contract review

• Communicate verbally and in writing to all internal and external customers

   
Required:  

• BS - Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution required

• 2 years of experience in AutoCAD required

• 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering role required

• Experience working in an ISO9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment preferred
