Application Developer - PL/SQL at ECS Federal, Inc

ECS is seeking an Applications Programmer - (PL/SQL) to work in our Montgomery, AL office. 

• Analyzes functional business applications and designs specifications for functional areas such as payroll, logistics, and contracts.
• Develops block diagrams and logic flow charts.
• Translates detailed design into computer software.
• Tests, debugs, and refines computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required program-level and user-level documentation.
• Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency. Provides technical direction as required to ensure that program deadlines are met. 
• Creates and/or maintains operating systems, communications software, database packages, compilers, assemblers, and utility programs.
• Modifies existing software and creates special-purpose software to ensure efficiency and integrity between systems and applications. 
• Must be highly fluent in SQL, PLSQL, HP UNIX OS.

• 10+ years of experience 
• Highly Fluent in SQL, PLSQL, HP UNIX OS.  
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance

• Experience with Defense Finance Accounting System (DFAS) and/or Air Force legacy financial information systems.
• Knowledge and experience using operating systems, programming languages, hardware platforms and software development tools related to the Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS), the General Accounting and Finance System Reengineered (GAFS-R) and the Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS).
