About the Job
Analyzes, develops, quirements of the health care system. Process, maintain, compile, and report patient information for health requirements and standards in a manner consistent with the healthcare industry's numeprograms, tests, implements and maintains clinical system of hospital and clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory rerical coding system. Will work closely with other team members project lead and Core Team Lead to implement Meditech system in assigned location.
Special Instructions:Application Analyst for Ambulatory Practice ManagementResponsibilities:- In conjunction with facility and MEDITECH counterparts, is responsible for assuring an overall successful implementation of clinical applications, specifically the EHR.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the day-to-day contact person for MEDITECH Applications Specialists during installation phase and for ongoing maintenance thereafter.
- Keeps the Core Team Leader informed of all events affecting the established project timeline.
- Assist in accomplishing activities and responsibilities of the Application Coordinators (Core Team Leaders) assigned within each clinical department (e.g., planning and conducting training, testing).
- Identify and assist in resolution of issues arising in the clinical modules and issues that overlap the clinical departments relating to the setup and operation of the hospital information system (e.g., common mnemonic design for dictionary entries). Notify the Core Team Leader of any issues requiring escalation
- Attend interdepartmental meetings that provide a forum for raising new issues and resolving old ones in an effort to maximize the smooth operation of the entire EHR across all transitions of care.
- Develop expert departmental knowledge of the EHR’s software features and capabilities during the implementation process.
- Attend all meetings and training sessions conducted by MEDITECH personnel regarding the department's application(s) or other integrating applications as requested by the Core Team Leader.
- Work closely with other application Teams to ensure knowledge of integrated processes and operational impact to departmental workflows.
- Support change to the department’s workflows.
- Assist with testing 3rd party interfaces, forms, or claims.
- Map, test and validate data conversions as needed.
- Assess current reporting (internal and external) and determine if relevant moving forward.
- Help Core Team Leader develop testing scenarios to be used during unit and integrated testing as well as update testing.
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or other clinical specialty (i.e., Pharmacy, Radiology, ST, OT, PT, RT, etc.) required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous MEDITECH experience desired but not required.
Additional consideration given to healthcare related Bachelor’s degrees and certifications.
One (1) year of clinical experience in a health care environment minimum.
Experience in healthcare information systems preferred.
Experience with Meditech software ideal.
Additional consideration given to candidates with three (3) or more years’ experience in clinical records.
