About the Job
We are hiring a Sales Representative on behalf of our client in the Greater Birmingham Area. Our client specializes in the sales and servicing of household appliances.
The ideal candidate will balance inside and outside sales, working with walk-in customers and seeking new business. Must have 2+ years of experience in appliance sales or related fields and must excel in building relationships with high-end clients, builders, designers, and architects.
Responsibilities
- Handle inside sales, assisting walk-in customers and managing in-store sales processes.
- Perform outside sales by proactively contacting potential clients and building relationships within the industry.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-end customers, providing personalized service and solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets through effective inside and outside sales strategies.
- Manage sales pipeline, follow up with leads, and ensure timely closing of deals.
- Collaborate with the team to create promotional strategies and sales initiatives.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in appliance sales or a related industry (tile and stone, Home furnishing, flooring, etc.).
- Ability to balance both inside and outside sales activities effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with residential appliances and the ability to learn technical product details quickly.
- Valid driver's license for travel to meet with clients.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation structure is base + commission. The base salary for this role is $40,000 - $60,000. A successful sales representative can expect on target earnings of $100,000+.
