About the Job

Jax Spine and Pain provides specialized Interventional Pain Management and has been helping patients since 1999. We have 9 locations in northeast Florida. We are looking for an ARNP/ PA who will collaborate with physicians in managing the medical needs of our patients.

Qualifications:

Nurse Practitioner: Must have a current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license or be eligible to obtain a Florida license.
Physician Assistant: NCCPA certification required.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and possess strong computer skills.
License or Certification: Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant license to practice in the State of Florida.
BLS and/or ACLS required.
Full Time: Monday-Thursday; 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday 7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Prior Pain Management experience is preferred but not required.
Possession of a State of Florida ARNP/ PA license.
Proficiency in eClinicalWorks is preferred, but not required.

The Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant also may perform the following tasks in an authorized setting:

Obtaining patient history.
Performing physical examinations.
Ordering and performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Overseeing the treatment plan.
Monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
Offering counseling and education to meet patient needs.
Making appropriate referrals, Imaging, Orthopedic, neurosurgery, etc.
Prescribing and dispensing prescription medication in accordance with FL state laws and department policies
Performing minor procedures and surgical procedures.
Demonstrates ability to assess data reflective of patient's status and appropriately interprets information relative to patient's age-specific needs.
Assist with ongoing departmental process improvement and policy development.
