We are actively searching for a skilled and enthusiastic Apartment Maintenance Technician to join the CVG Properties team in Salt Lake City to provide great service to our Boutique Multifamily/Townhome Communities (approx. 200 units over six communities).
If you want to join a property management TEAM that is focused on providing customers a great place to live and a company that understands that YOU are our most valuable asset - Apply today!As a Maintenance Technician, you will work with the current Maintenance Team (forming a Team of 3) as well as the Community Managers to provide excellent customer service to our current residents, ensure that the grounds and buildings are well maintained, and prepare apartments for future rentals. This Maintenance position is hands-on and requires some tools. Previous apartment maintenance experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Make ready turns to include painting, repairs, testing appliances, mechanical, carpentry, and reporting any maintenance concerns for repairs on appliances, HVAC, electrical, etc. (e.g., replace light bulbs in common areas and breezeways, replace window screens, replace air filters, move appliances, etc.)
- Reports any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, and common areas to the Community Manager.
- Responds to service work orders to make technical repairs or replacements; assist maintenance staff as needed.
- Answer and resolve property after-hour emergency calls on a rotating schedule with the Maintenance Team.
- Responsible for meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities, and building exteriors, including removing trash from all garbage basins and dog stations, minor landscape duties as needed, pressure washing, and snow safety procedures.
- Frequently interacts and communicates effectively with residents, property staff, and vendors to complete maintenance duties and requests.
- Observe and promote safety and risk management in accordance with local, federal, state, and company rules and regulations.
- Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential customers at all times.
- Conduct pre-move in and post-move out apartment inspections and ensure timely completion of quality unit turns.

- High school graduate or GED required.
- 1 or more years of experience in the residential/apartments property management industry or directly related field.
- Must possess general maintenance, HVAC and carpentry skills.
- Experience using Yardi preferred.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to others.
- Must be able to read/write English and accurately complete on call and site inspection logs.
- Must maintain professional appearance.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required
- Must comply with all safety requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
- Understands and abides by Fair Housing laws.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends if/when necessary
