Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor with proven experience in a supervisor’s role, demonstrating a hands-on and involved approach to leadership to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in helping manage the accounts payable process, extensive experience with payment, statement reconciliation management, internal controls, and the motivation to help make existing processes better or create new ones. The Supervisor will reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Helps manage the Accounts Payable Workflow function, including but not limited to coding invoices, verification and entering vendor invoices for approvals, wire set ups, vendor communications, month end close, accruals and reconciliations
Work closely with the AP Director and AP Manager to ensure a smooth Procure-to-Pay process.
Establishing relationships across departments and business units to obtain proper approvals for invoices.
Assists with the implementation of an automated system or ERP upgrades.
Reviews vendor statements and reconcile missed invoices and identify discrepancies and credits.
Supports the finance departments with accounts payable projects as required.
Helps to manage the year-end IRS Form 1099 reporting process.
Ensure all internal control procedures are understood by the team and they are performed as required.
Helps manager vendor master data, including compliance with new vendor set up processes and internal control policies.
Supervision and mentoring of direct reports; including review of work to ensure that invoices and payments are appropriately recorded.
Helps to provide timely audit support for internal and external compliance audits
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of supervisory experience overseeing a team of at least 5 or more
Previous supervisory experience in a multi-unit high-volume environment
Knowledge of Microsoft D365 + strong Excel preferred (pivot and VLOOKUP. formulas)
Self-motivated, proactive, critical thinker with ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
Work independently with limited supervision
Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication.
Pay Transparency: Min 70k - Max 75K
