Job Summary:
The AP Specialist at Hittle Landscaping will play a crucial role in the company's Accounting and Finance department. This individual will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers. This is a full-time, individual contributor role based in Westfield, Indiana.
Compensation & Benefits:
The AP Specialist role is a full-time, salaried position with a compensation of $20 per hour. The individual will be paid weekly and will also be eligible for company benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire accounts payable process, including receiving and reviewing invoices, coding and entering them into the system, and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Process and issue payments to vendors and suppliers, reconciling and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from vendors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders regarding payment status and invoices.
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
- Monitor and report on accounts payable aging, identifying and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance team to improve and streamline the accounts payable process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and GAAP.
