Accounts Payable Specialist-Pleasant Hill/Concord-Hiring Immediately!
Location: 100% On-Site
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flex)
Seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing team in the East Bay. As part of the accounting team, you will play a crucial role in processing vendor invoices, working within our ERP system, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop within the construction and federal contracting industry, working alongside a dynamic team with global presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices through workflow for multiple entities and projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage foreign currency exchange transactions as needed
- Work within the CMiC construction ERP system or similar systems
- Perform data collection and data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy
- Maintain and reconcile accounts, addressing discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of financial data
- Collaborate with team members globally to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Successful experience in Accounts Payable processing
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong ownership of the AP process, ensuring high-quality and timely completion of tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (intermediate or advanced skills required)
- Prior experience with CMiC or similar construction ERP systems
- Positive and professional attitude, with a strong desire to learn and grow within the organization
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data
- Ability to support Gilbane's mission and values
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in a construction/general contractor organization, with federal government contracting experience++.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Salary: $26-$30 hourly
