About the Job
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Share Service Center Sr. Manager, the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager will include but will not be limited to:
Accounts Payable Specialist
- Managing Regional AP Team, including, offering guidance, training, hiring, onboarding, and developing to ensure high performance levels.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, proper coding, approval, documentation, and payment alignment with company policies.
- Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices
- Ensure proper vendor setup and banking information verification process.
- Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures to improve efficiency and ensure sound financial practices and internal controls
- Constant enforces and enhances internal controls to prevent fraud for the firm and errors within the team.
- Lead process improvement initiatives with the regional A/P team to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance efficiency; provide guidance, and training as needed.
- Partner with Region leaders to develop and drive strategic initiatives to achieve business goals
- Responsible for leading the month-end A/P closing process, A/P Journal Entries, accruals reconciliations for month-end, and, other reporting deadlines.
- Ownership of the annual 1099 process and others if applicable.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow projections
- Maintain vendor relationships, including communicating payment terms and resolving vendor inquiries
- Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Research, prepare, and submit the information for 3W, Quarterly Forecast and, annual budget.
- Leads special projects that increase the efficiency of team leveraging technology and streamlining business processes
- Engage in general accounting activities, including research, journal entries, and reconciliations as needed
- Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed
- Other duties as needed.
Experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 4+ years of relevant A/P Experience and at least 3 years Managing Accounts payable team.
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices
- Strong financial analysis skills and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Ability to train, coordinate, and lead staff.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision
- Data analysis and financial modeling skills: Advanced proficiency experience in Excel (Power query & BI, pivots, lookups, etc.).

- the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
