Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Manager with expertise in SAP to oversee and optimize our accounts payable processes. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on involvement, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing while driving process improvements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, and vendors, to maintain compliance, efficiency, and excellent relationships. This role is hybrid in a high volume fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice verification, approval workflows, and payment execution using SAP.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the AP team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high productivity and morale.
- SAP Expertise: Utilize SAP to streamline processes, maintain data accuracy, and generate financial reports. Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate with IT as needed.
- Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving disputes and ensuring timely payments.
- Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and internal controls. Implement best practices to enhance governance and reduce risks.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automation within the AP function. Implement strategies to optimize workflows and minimize errors.
- Reporting: Prepare and present AP-related financial reports, metrics, and dashboards to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of accounts payable experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP is required; experience with other financial systems is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Hybrid Work Competence: Ability to effectively manage tasks and teams in a hybrid work environment.
