Job Title: Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk

Job Overview:
Vaco’s client, a reputable company located in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join their corporate office team. In this role, you will process AP transactions for centers across the nation. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative team environment, has a passion for accuracy, and is ready to go the extra mile to meet deadlines and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Invoice Entry: Accurately input invoices into the accounting system.
GL Coding: Ensure proper general ledger coding for transactions.
Invoice Matching: Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
Team Support: Support department goals, initiatives, and special projects as needed.
Task Prioritization: Prioritize work to meet fluctuating demands and volumes.
Check Processing: Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks.
Vendor Inquiries: Respond to and resolve vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
Administrative Support: Perform filing, copying, and document organization.
Month-End Assistance: Support the monthly closing process by ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable is required.
Technical Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential.
Accounting Software: Experience with QuickBooks or NetSuite is preferred.
Problem-Solving: Demonstrates initiative and a self-starter mindset to analyze and solve problems.
Team-Oriented: Ability to work both independently and as part of a group.
Time Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Customer Service: Strong service orientation with a focus on providing outstanding customer service.
