This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a brand new hospital (opening in April) in Walker, Michigan!
Job Summary:
The Hospital Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the practice. The Hospital Manager will recruit and select staff, train and develop teammates, provide performance feedback and coaching, as well as ensure the hospital’s financial and operational goals are met.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position supervises all staff at the hospital.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Acts as a brand ambassador, always exhibiting the Lovet core values.
Completes hospital billing, payment plans, and accounts receivable for the hospital.
Under the guidance of the Regional Operations Manager, executes hospital growth initiatives.
In partnership with the Regional Operations Manager (ROM), creates and manages hospital goals, plans, and budgets based on organizational objectives.
Ensures adherence to all Lovet policies and procedures, workflows, and protocols. Follows all regulatory guidelines and requirements to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment.
With the ROM, continuously assesses, analyzes, and improves hospital workflows. Implements operational best practices to ensure hospital goals are met.
In collaboration with the HRBP and ROM, creates a high-performance culture within the hospital. Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and recognizes staff in alignment with overarching Lovet people and culture strategy. Works with HRBP to resolve all people problems and continuously reinforce core values at all levels within the hospital.
With the Talent Acquisition team, creates a superior recruitment experience for all associate DVMs.
Manages daily activities of hospitals using key performance metrics to ensure optimal clinical care is delivered and operating results are achieved.
Organizes and facilitates hospital meetings. Drives engagement and productivity of meetings to meet for success.
Works with the marketing department to drive local marketing efforts. Identifies and develops opportunities to develop and maintain relationships with clients and referral sources in the local market.
Works collaboratively with other hospitals to ensure each pet receives superior clinical and medical care.
Utilizes Tableau, P&L, daily flash, and other reports to manage the financial aspects of the hospital, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Responsible for the proper use and maintenance of all hospital equipment, supplies, and hospital instruments. Works with facilities team to ensure the hospital is in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines.
Attends continuing education courses and stays up to date on the latest advances in leadership and veterinary hospital management trends.
Continuously walks the floor in the treatment area and lobby to inspire, motivate, and engage staff. Builds and fosters strong relationships with hospital staff and doctors through ongoing, clear communication, and approachability.
Oversees hospital client schedule to ensure revenue and volume goals are met.
Oversees and administers hospital, doctor, and staff schedule to ensure revenue goals and all client demand needs are met. Covers hospital positions as needed.
Oversees hospital ordering, receiving, and inventory. Maintains proper levels of drugs and supplies based on Lovet standards. Acts as a steward of resources, ordering responsibly and adhering to Lovet product best practices.
Under the Lovet WOW Promise guidelines, uses Lovet de-escalation techniques when receiving client complaints. Escalates client complaints to ROM as needed to maintain strong client relationships.
Maintains online reviews in alignment with Lovet marketing guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
HS diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, veterinary medicine, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in a medical setting, veterinary highly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at a time.
