We are seeking an energetic, friendly, compassionate Animal Care Attendant. This position could be full time or part-time. Days worked and hours will vary. We can be flexible for the right person. We are a group that enjoys having fun at work. We do things to try and make our patients more comfortable visiting their veterinarian, implementing "Fear Free" techniques. We love suggestions and ideas to improve efficiency, patient care, customer service, and employee satisfaction.
Animal Care Attendant
Position Overview
Successful candidates will be enthusiastic, efficient, self-reliant, and detail oriented. I need someone who is passionate about animal care and cleanliness. Someone who really wants to help the patients.
The Animal Care Attendant is responsible for assisting veterinarians, veterinary technicians and vet assistants in performing various veterinary procedures such as, conduction exams, administering vaccinations and medical treatment, taking history from clients, and providing client education to keep their pets healthy. In this position you get to learn about medications, the different types of diagnostics used, vaccine schedules, preventions, and much more.
The Animal Care Attendant is also responsible for assisting technicians in performing various veterinary procedures such as administering vaccinations and medical treatments, assisting with x-rays, running blood work, and restraining a pet to collect a specimen.
Lunch and learns are regularly on the schedule to help us learn about new products and there is also CE opportunities.

Primary Responsiblilties
Ensure the safety of pets, clients, techs, and veterinarians by utilizing safe restraining techniques
Maintian the cleanliness of the patients and the treatment area
- Walking and feeding patients/ learning nutrition
Drawing up the correct vaccines for the appointments
Keeping the traetment area clean, organized, and sterile
Running SNAP tests
Knowing how to communicate with a client about preventatives
Communicating with doctors
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
A positive attitude and willing to learn
