AERMOR LLC is seeking a qualified military analyst with prior military experience to support warfighter analysis efforts at the Pentagon.
Responsibilities Include:
- Consult and present subject matter assistance to the Joint Service Provider (JSP) and the Joint Staff (JS) on strategy or plan assessments, as well as the operational and planning capacities of the Department of Defense (DoD) and the United States Government civilian national security agencies.
- Provide briefings, read-ahead materials, and other documentation that summarizes ongoing actions and highlights objectives for the future.
- Analyze current interagency plans, policies, and/or doctrines as a subject matter expert. Document opinions and recommendations in brief issue papers.
- Compile, evaluate, and compare potential courses of action prior to endorsing a recommendation.
- Monitor and submit monthly reports on key development milestones within the planning process.
- Participate in Professional Military Education sessions covering Joint Doctrine Notes (JDN).
- Integrate strategic planning and inputs within the Combatant Command (CCMD), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), JSP and JS.
- Facilitate the creation and improvement of the DoD planning doctrine, guidelines and training resources which govern or influence the process of establishing plans, force structure, global posture, and strategy development.
- Assist with the daily management of projects led by the Deputy Director for Joint Strategic Planning using the Task Management Tool.
- Provide administrative assistance, such as processing requests to send or receive division partners' clearance information.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR no degree with 5 years of warfighting operational experience.
- Minimum of three years’ experience working on our supporting the Joint Staff or a Military Service staff (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, or Space Force), a combatant command (CCMD), or service component command.
- Familiarity working in an interagency capacity.
- Experience working with modern office, collaboration, and information management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Connect, Microsoft SharePoint).
