Maximus is currently seeking a Software quality tester to work remote and join our team supporting one of our Federal clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Team Lead/ Manager to develop test plans.
- Write and implement manual and automated QA test plans using technical requirements or design specifications and produce automated test cases.
- Execute and document test activities.
- Conduct detailed analysis of test results found through both manual and automated testing.
- Investigate and propose methods and standards for continuous process improvement.
Project Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with Team Lead/ Manager to develop test plans - Write and implement manual and automated QA test plans using technical requirements or design specifications and produce automated test cases. - Analyze the requirements/design solutions to be able to create test approach/test scenarios
- Experience with test case mapping to requirements and generate Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
-Execute the test cases/scripts and document the activities in the testing tool
- Collaborate with SA's/BA's/ Dev/SQA for test plan walkthroughs; test cases/results peer reviews
- Conduct detailed analysis of test results found through both manual and automated testing.
- Experience with various kinds of testing such as: Functional/System, Data Validation, Regression & Performance testing
- Experience with Accessibility testing (508)
- Ability to work seamlessly with configuration/Middleware team(s) for deployment activities
- Hands-on experience with creating and executing complex SQL queries, running ETL's and Stored Proc's (SP) for data validation testing
- Good understanding of the defect management process - report, follow-through, validate and close defects - Work independently with good time management and effectively complete the assigned tasks
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Able to present the testing metrics to the senior management at review meetings
- Investigate and propose methods and standards for continuous process improvement
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Specific Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Have experience with Engineering Workflow Management - Quality Manager
- Familiarity with MS SQL Server, JAWS, Perl scripting
- Familiarity with automation frameworks/testing
Additional Requirements as per contract/client:
-Must be eligible to Obtain Government Clearance.
-Must be a U.S. citizen.
-Must currently reside in the U.S.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
-Must not be delinquent or in default on any federal student loans.
-Employment and continued employment are contingent upon obtaining and maintaining a favorable clearance.
-Final suitability determination is the sole discretion of the Department of Education.
-Obtaining and Maintaining a PIV-I card is a requirement of this position. PIV-I cards must be picked up in person. If applicable, new and existing employees may need to travel via car, train, or plane to a designated location to pick up their new or replacement PIV-I card. Any travel expenses will be paid for by Maximus.

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
