SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
The Analyst, Events & Communications, is responsible for planning and implementing both large- and small-scale events, generating content for social media, and supporting communications and community activities.
The position requires strong corporate communications skills built on a foundation of team collaboration, meeting deadlines and laser focus on accuracy. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to successfully coordinate and execute internal and external events, develop and implement related communications plans, and possess strong writing skills.
Oversees the management of events to produce quality, multi-faceted productions. Events include trade shows, customer and community engagements, and employee activities. You are responsible for creating engaging content and engagement sand fostering community interaction. The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering events.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for coordinating and delivering high-profile events for audiences external to NextDecade and for company employees.
- Under general supervision, coordinates all event preparation and acts as liaison with internal clients, external vendors, and event organizers.
- Accurately prepare event estimates in conjunction with budgetary guidelines.
- Inspect venues and specific meeting areas to evaluate suitability for event requirements.
- Ensure that the equipment, physical set-up, and personnel provided meet the requirements of the event and contractual agreements.
- Develop assignment schedules for staffing requirements for the proper presentation of events.
- Monitors and supervises facility set-up.
- Properly execute in a timely fashion all back-end paperwork related to events, i.e., post event notes, photo uploads, etc.
- Responsible for managing all internal and external communications related to events including invitations, guest communication, emails, intranet articles, and social media posts.
- Works with other departments and employees to create content relevant communications to serve business line objectives.
- Ensure that the NextDecade and its subsidiaries' brands are always presented and communicated according to established brand guidelines.
- Participate in the conceptualization and execution of creative solutions, working closely with the team to develop ideas and creative storytelling.
- Ensuring messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate, and aligned with company strategies and brand
- Complete other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications or Public Relations
- 5+ years of professional corporate international event planning and working with corporate brand identities and guidelines
- Energy industry experience preferred
- Friendly and patient individual with a "can do attitude"
- Must possess exceptional organization and communication skills with the ability to quickly change priorities, multitask and manage the details
- Must be collaborative and possess ability to work with many varied stakeholders and do so with organizational savvy and confidence
- Experience managing large- and small-scale events for varied stakeholders both in the U.S. and international including customers, employees, executives, and community
- Ability to quickly generate ideas and content and accept re-direction with adjusting business needs
- Photography and videography skills a plus
- Must be able to show portfolio of previous events showcasing creative and innovative concepts
- Travel up to 40%
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment with occasional work within or outside of a complex construction environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers/fax, filing cabinets, etc.This is primarily a sedentary role; however, the incumbent must be able to stand and/or sit continuously to perform all essential job functions for a full shift.

· Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as required in order to lift files, boxes and office equipment as necessary.
· Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending, standing on a stool, or climbing as necessary to perform these functions.
