Position Overview: As an Analog Design Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of our hardware development team, responsible for designing, simulating, and implementing advanced analog and mixed-signal circuits. You will contribute your expertise to the entire product lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping, to validation and production support. You will have a desire to work for a smaller company that has a close-knit, healthy atmosphere, where all team members have a voice and the opportunity to innovate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed circuit schematics for ADC and DAC circuits for RF performance, area constraints, and manufacturability.
- Simulate high current, low voltage power supplies using tools such as LTspice or LTpowerCAD.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including digital design engineers, PCB designers, and firmware developers to integrate ADCs and DACs into complex electronic systems.
- Prototype and validate designs through thorough testing, debugging, and characterization using lab equipment and simulation tools.
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Participate in design reviews, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Generate and maintain BOMs and assembly drawings to support purchasing and manufacturing.
- Generate support documents such as user guides, datasheets and test procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of electronic design with high speed ADCs and DACs.
- Designing and implementation of RF circuits.
- Power distribution system design and simulation.
- Proficiency in CAD tools for circuit design and simulation (e.g., Orcad, LTSPICE).
- Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art lab equipment for testing and debugging of analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- A good understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles, including signal integrity, noise reduction techniques, and PCB layout considerations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Beneficial Skills:
- Experience with JESD204B and JESD204C high-speed ADCs and DACs.
- Familiarity with FPGA-based digital signal processing and interface protocols (e.g. SPI, I2C, UART).
- Signal translation of single-ended to differential, and vice versa, at multi-GHz speeds.
