The official title for this position is Personal Insurance Service Advisor.
Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to contribute to the overall achievement of the Personal Lines Department's profitability goals. Our Personal Lines team is comprised of elite, licensed insurance professionals with a deep understanding of their clients ' needs and the insurance companies serving them.
A Personal Insurance Service Advisor plays a key role in the success of the team by creating a deep relationship with their clients during moments of need, such as when they require policy service, when they have billing inquiries, and when they may need claims consultation and assistance. This role also delivers accuracy and efficiency in the processing of manual declaration pages, downloaded policy transactions, incoming department mail, emails, and faxes, and endorsement processing, such as vehicle schedule updates, mortgage company changes, and all other types of endorsements. Personal Insurance Service Advisors must also work with Company Underwriters, Assistants, Marketing Reps, and other company personnel to maintain excellent customer service and a great relationship with our carriers.
In addition, this role will back up other Service Advisors and Insurance Advisors when needed in order to maintain a balanced and consistent workflow for the team.
Credentials, Experience, and Skills
- Active General Lines P&C license through the Texas Department of Insurance.
- Two years of experience in personal lines insurance is preferred.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software is required.
- The ideal candidate must be customer service-oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills. Accuracy and, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are important. The ability to work well in a team environment is necessary to meet the challenges of the position.
