A top-performing Heavy Equipment Mechanic will bring expert care and precision to servicing even the most complex machinery.Responsibilities:
- Travel to job sites to inspect, service, and repair heavy construction equipment.
- Perform inspections of trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose faults using computerized testing tools and technology.
- Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components and parts as needed.
- Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and routine maintenance on vehicles and attachments, such as winches, blades, and side booms.
- Perform major repairs and overhauls when necessary.
- Collaborate with other mechanics to address smaller-scale tasks.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to management promptly.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed following safety protocols and company standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic is required.
- Proven experience as a diesel or heavy equipment mechanic.
- Strong understanding of diesel engines, construction equipment, and computerized testing tools.
- Ability to lift and handle heavy machinery safely.
- Willingness to work after-hours or overtime, as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Medical, vision, and dental coverage.
- Starting hourly wage: $26/hr.
