Job Summary:
The primary purpose of this key customer service/patient service position is to greet, assist and direct patients, family members and visitors of Children's Hospital Oakland, and to serve as a hospital liaison with the public.
Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent G.E.D.
Experience: Experience in hospitality industry or customer service highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Effective verbal and written communication skills; Bi-lingual, bi-cultural skills strongly preferred. Demonstrated outstanding interpersonal skills and commitment to customer service. Ability to interact in an extroverted and positive manner with diverse groups of people in a mature and customer service oriented manner.
Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively. Ability to respond quickly, proactively and calmly in a difficult or sensitive situation. Basic computer skills. Physically able to withstand long periods of walking and standing. Physically able to tolerate significant and frequent temperature changes.
Physical Requirements:
Sit up to 8 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 3-6 hours

Reach: Up to 3 hours
Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 8 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 15 lbs
