DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean Point Resort, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an experienced and friendly AM Server/Barista to join our team. You will be the face of our restaurant, providing memorable experiences for our guests. General Responsibilities:
- Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible).
- Take food and beverage orders and deliver to the kitchen.
- Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
- Answer questions regarding the menu.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
- Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest's satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
- Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal.
- Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies.
- Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures.
- Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
- Set tables to standards, and ensure that all items are clean and in good repair.
- Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
- Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, you may required to perform a variety or duties in multiple departments during a shift
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
- Ability to operate point-of-sale system
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with a team
- Ability to maintain personal hygiene
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience as a server preferred
- Ability to work 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
