The Alumni Outreach representative is responsible for the administration and evaluation of specific alumni programs, services, and activities. This role acts as a key advisor and partner to the Guardian facilities that they are responsible for. He/She is also responsible for education to the staff and discharging clients on the alumni services program. The Alumni Outreach Rep provides the Alumni Director with key information on daily activities of the team in order to maximize the efficiency of the group, and must be able to communicate, interact and organize effectively in order to build mutually beneficial relationships between alumni and the facility.
Requirements
- Preferred undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university; professional experience may substitute for degree requirement. Minimum of HS Diploma
- A minimum of one year of experience in alumni relations; preferably in a health care delivery system setting.
- Experience with Addiction Treatment or Behavioral Health preferred
- One year sales experience
- One year call center experience

Responsibilities
- Ability to introduce alumni services to active clients and their families.
- Ability to communicate consistently with alumni and their families and document interactions in a timely manner.
- Ability to assist alumni in crisis in returning to appropriate levels of care.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate monthly alumni events and meetings.
- Ability to develop rapport with active clients throughout treatment episodes.
- Ability to serve as a liaison to the alumni body and keep them connected to one another and the facility through general correspondence, social media, emails, cultivation, and invitations to events, etc.
- Ability to plan for the maintenance of accurate alumni records and play an active role in establishing database-related goals and procedures. This includes an active role in evaluating, planning, and approving database enhancements or projects designed to improve accuracy.
- Ability to demonstrate a deep and genuine interest in the welfare of Alumni to build and grow strong, committed, long-term relationships congruent with values and vision of the facility.
- Ability to plan, organize and execute alumni events.
- Ability to protect the privacy of all patient information in accordance with the facilitys privacy policies, procedures, and practices, as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with general principle of professionalism as a healthcare provider. Failure to comply with the facilitys policies and procedures on patient privacy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
- The Alumni Outreach rep has access to protected health information (PHI) and other patient information only to the extent that is necessary to complete job duties. The incumbent may only share such information with those who have a need-to-know specific patient information to complete their job responsibilities related to treatment, payment, or operations.
- Alumni Outreach Rep is encouraged and expected to report, without the threat of retaliation, any concerns regarding the facilities policies and procedures on patient privacy and any observed practices in violation of the policy to their supervisor.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Pay: $50,000 - $65,000 per year
Schedule: Mon-Fri; 9-5pm
