ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida is currently seeking an LPN, RN OR Certified Medical Assistant as an Allergy Technician for a full-time position at our ... office. Our practice provides comprehensive general and subspecialty ENT medical and surgical care within the convenience of one medical group. Allergy Technician Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for an LPN, EMT or Certified Medical Assistant as an Allergy Technician who is multitask oriented, motivated, able to handle a high volume of patients, be a self-starter and willing to learn all aspects of Allergy, ENT and Audiology field.
Allergy Technician Responsibilities:
- Interacting with patients for 20-60 minutes
- Following allergy protocols
- Educating patients on allergy testing and treatments
- Answering patient calls
- Taking patient histories
- Giving injections
- Performing allergy skin tests
- Obtaining authorizations
- Preparing exam rooms
- Sterilization techniques in accordance with CDC, ENTAAF and if applicable Autoclave manufacturer requirements
Allergy Technician Requirements:
- Licensure/ Certification: Active LPN, EMT or Certified Medical Assistant
- Minimum two-years hands-on clinical experience
- Willing to travel between locations as needed
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a clear speaking voice
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Exhibit professionalism towards patients physicians and team members
- Computer literate for EMR
- Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus
- Allergy experience is a plus

Physical Demands:
Coordination, manual, and physical dexterity sufficient to properly and adequately use various items of medical equipment and office equipment as required of the position or directed by the Manager. The position may involve sitting, standing, bending, and stooping. Incumbent must also be able to assist patients in transferring from wheelchair to an exam chair, when necessary. Responsibilities may also require the incumbent to travel between ENTA offices for support purposes. The incumbent must also be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds.
