Job Description Summary
The Change Incorporation and Refurbishment Specialist is responsible for overseeing and implementing changes and refurbishment processes for aircraft to ensure they meet the latest standards, regulations, and customer requirements. This role involves coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to incorporate modifications, upgrades, and refurbishments efficiently while ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and industry best practices.
This role will work closely with production value stream stakeholders, however it will also include retrofit (Fleet) applications and associated organizations at times. As a coordinator, you will lead authorized change through kick-off, work statement development, define, and issue phases of the committed change process to meet critical incorporation targets. A successful coordinator communicates expectations clearly and concisely, understands product flow and scheduling, has strong project management skills, follows-through, strives to be technically conversant, and builds strong relationships.

15+ years of OEM experience in aircraft "Change Incorporation and Refurbishment" coordinator role
Develops and maintains product structure definition controls, product naming conventions, and product identification
Analyzes data gathered from identified sources, identifies discrepancies and works with responsible organizations to resolve
Develops, documents and implements configuration management processes
Manages the change process
Integrates and coordinates design and configuration data required for certifications and/or flight clearance notices
Collects, organizes, synthesizes and analyzes data to support and guide business decisions
Summarizes findings; develops conclusions and recommendations to develop product offerings
Strong project management skills and organization.
Communication skills at all levels of leadership.

Ability to effectively lead a cross functional team through an established yet variable process.

Change Incorporation:
Evaluate and analyze aircraft change proposals, modifications, and upgrades.
Develop detailed plans and schedules for incorporating changes into existing aircraft systems and structures.
Coordinate with engineering teams to review design and technical documentation related to changes.
Ensure all changes are compliant with aviation regulatory requirements and company standards.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for proposed changes.
Refurbishment Management:
Oversee the refurbishment of aircraft interiors, systems, and components.
Develop refurbishment plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the timely delivery of parts and services.
Monitor the refurbishment process to ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
Address any issues or deviations that arise during refurbishment and implement corrective actions.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all change incorporation and refurbishment activities.
Prepare and submit reports on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to management.
Ensure that all changes and refurbishments are documented in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct inspections and reviews to ensure that incorporated changes and refurbished components meet quality and safety standards.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to perform final inspections and certifications.
Implement continuous improvement practices based on feedback and performance evaluations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on changes in aviation regulations and standards relevant to change incorporation and refurbishment.
Ensure all activities comply with relevant aviation authority regulations and industry best practices.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with internal departments, including engineering, maintenance, and customer service, to coordinate change and refurbishment activities.
Communicate effectively with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and vendors, to facilitate smooth project execution.
