Summary:
-
Perform structural assembly operations following established procedures to meet design specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
-
Safely assemble and fit detail parts and structures, including drilling, riveting, and sheet metal fabrication.
-
Perform layout, fabrication, and installation of parts and equipment on aircraft.
-
Use tools such as riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and files; ensure fastener removal without damaging structures.

Interpret work orders, blueprints, sketches, and operational sheets; handle adhesives, sealants, and solvents per procedures.

Check and ensure all assemblies meet defect-free standards before inspection.

Align and assemble parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and fasteners.

Shape and form complex configurations to blueprint specifications.
-
Make repairs per DMTs, MRRs, or PCOs; perform rework to meet conformity standards.

Maintain logs and records (e.g., MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).

Support the 5S Program, maintain a clean work area, and comply with safety regulations.

Collect and dispose of waste materials properly.

Ensure accurate daily job charging and communicate effectively across shifts.

Assist in equipment maintenance and support Lean initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
2 years of related structural assembly experience.
-
Experience with Solumina and Smarteam preferred.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
-
Basic computer skills and shop math proficiency.
-
Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and ability to meet deadlines.
-
Capability to work with composite resins and materials.
-
Able to work any shift, climb ladders/stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
