Job Summary:
Join a dynamic team as an APU/Repair & Service Technician and play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of aircraft components. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, and testing aircraft components with precision and expertise. As a valued member of the team, you’ll apply your technical knowledge to diagnose equipment malfunctions, restore operations, and maintain compliance with industry standards such as FAA, EASA, AS9110, and ISO9001.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and test aircraft components and subcomponents.
- Diagnose malfunctions using technical documentation like blueprints and manufacturer manuals.
- Restore equipment to optimal condition using advanced technical expertise.
- Document all work performed in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Operate power tools, machinery, ground support equipment, and forklifts as needed.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality improvement.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of four years of recent experience in the repair, modification, maintenance, overhaul, and testing of APUs, specifically the 36-150 APU Series (preferred).
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to identify and interpret micrometer readings, dials/gauges, and small scales.
- Familiarity with operating power tools and equipment safely.
Language & Communication:
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
Mathematical Skills:
- Competence in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and working with fractions and ratios.
Physical Demands:
- Lift up to 40 lbs. independently; heavier items with assistance.
- Adaptability to a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures.
Travel:
- Occasional travel may be required.
